Edgar Paul Breaux III M.D. was born and raised in Lafayette. He graduated from Spring Hill College, Cum Laude in 1972 with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Breaux, then, attended LSU Medical School in New Orleans where he graduated with an M.D. degree in December 1975. He completed a General Surgery residency on the LSU service at Charity Hospital of New Orleans in 1979 and then performed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at M.D. Anderson Hospital which he completed in 1980. He has been practicing General Surgery and Surgical Oncology in Lafayette since January of 1981, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Breaux’s particular interests in surgical oncology are in breast surgery, head and neck endocrine surgery, and melanoma.
